Laying the formwork
We started work in the inside portion of the driveway by laying out the wooden forms. The driveway is quite large, going from the front gate to the garage and front of house.
Pouring concrete foundation for the driveway
Once the metal mesh was laid, it was time to pour the concrete. we went for a depth of 12 cm to give plenty of support for heavier cars.

After the concrete has set, it was time to place the concrete tiles. We tried a few patterns, until finally deciding on one we like.
It took a few weeks to lay the tiles, with 3 trucks worth of tiles delivered.

Once the front gate and fence were done, we needed to do the paving bricks for the front driveway. First we had to straighten the land at the front, and put down a layer of concrete.
Water getting stuck and a fix
Once the concrete was laid, and there were some decent rains, we found that water was gettting stuck at either side of the driveway and was not flowing along the street.
We had to break some of the concrete facing the road, leaving room for the water to flow past.

Once the front gate and fence were done, we needed to do the paving bricks for the front driveway. The paving bricks were laid for the driveway and the side gate.
